Ahhh, this retro favourite will never lose its place in our hearts and rightly so… At the Boat House we only use the plumpest, freshest of prawns – and most importantly, we certain don’t scrimp on the portion size… There will be no hunting through limp lettuce to find a few isolated crustaceans at our restaurant! No, we pride ourselves on serving up a plentiful amount of delicious prawns upon a crisp bed of fresh lettuce, delicately complimented by our homemade marie rose sauce! Our classic prawn cocktail is also served with buttered bloomer bread so that big appetites can always be satisfied!
A firm favourite with the nation on any day of the week… This timeless classic has already been a great hit with many of our guests who have complimented the special beer batter that our fresh fish is cooked in. Beautifully seasoned and never greasy – this batter is as light as it is tasty. Combine this with flavoursome mushy peas and more-ish chips to really appreciate this culinary classic. Don’t forget the tartare sauce!
Served up by mums around the country and always a welcome option for parents and kids alike! Our mash goes that extra mile with its exceptional creaminess and melt in the mouth flavour. Add in the main event of three juicy cumberland sausages and this dish is a guaranteed success, especially when topped with our tasty onion gravy. Following an exhausting day at Thorpe Park or any one of the nearby day attractions, our sausages and mash will revive flagging energy levels and hopefully leave you with room for dessert!
Perhaps not regarded as a typical culinary classic – our chef’s butternut squash risotto has to be tried to be believed and is certainly in our “Top 5.” This healthy dish is the perfect way to warm up on a cold day and is alive with flavour and colour. Only the freshest of ingredients are used to create this scrumptious risotto and since the launch of our “Classics Menu” it has been frequently enjoyed by customers. Tempted to give it a go?
